To activate your XM radio, find the Radio ID on channel 0, enter it on the official SiriusXM website or app with a subscription plan, then keep the radio on with a clear view of the sky until your channels unlock. Most activations finish within a few minutes, though some take longer. For many factory-installed car radios, you can also use your vehicle identification number (VIN) instead of the Radio ID.
